Not even a five-day layoff could cool off the scorching-hot Stone Bridge baseball team. The Bulldogs continued their dominance of the Alexandria City Baseball Championship in Monday’s championship game, pounding host West Potomac 13-0 to claim the title and improve to a perfect 5-0 on the season.
The final –- which was originally scheduled for last Wednesday but was postponed due to rain -– lasted just five innings as senior Tyler Weaver was nearly perfect on the mound and the Bulldog lineup battered West Potomac pitchers for 10 hits.
