A fire Thursday near South Riding that resulted in $25,000 in damage has been deemed accidental by the Loudoun Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management.

Shortly before 3 p.m., fire and rescue crews from Dulles South, Arcola, Aldie, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and Loudoun, Fairfax and Prince William counties responded to the blaze. Officials found an engine repair garage on fire, Loudoun fire spokeswoman Mary Maguire said. The garage is connected to an unoccupied house.

A man was working on equipment in the garage when the fire started. The injured man was flown to Washington Hospital Center, Maguire said.
