The opening day of the Old Dominion Swim League 2008 season was marred by lightning, but two teams were at least able to claim victory before being rained out.
Lovettsville beat Exeter, 308 to 227, before the meet was rained out after the breaststroke. South Riding at Kinkaid Forest was rained out after the backstroke, with Kinkaid Forest coming out on top 133.5 to South Riding's 106.5.
The rest of the days meets were either cancelled or rescheduled. Brambleton at Sterling Park and Courts & Ridges at Lansdowne were cancelled. Red Rocks at Tavistock was resheduled for June 27 and Potomac Crossing at Broadlands will take place June 30.
