A Free Party for Loudoun Teens

Climb a rock wall, race through an inflatable obstacle course, enter the dance revolution competition and listen to Loudoun's best teen bands: It's all part of Loudoun Youth Fest, a free event from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Belmont Country Club for ages 12 through 17. McCutcheon Opens Bluemont Series

Songwriter John McCutcheon, who plays guitar, banjo, fiddle and hammer dulcimer, among other instruments, has been called a one-man folk festival. He'll kick off the Bluemont Summer Concerts series on the Loudoun County Courthouse lawn in Leesburg at 7 p.m. Sunday. You can also catch him at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Old Shadowlawn, 70 Culpeper St., in Warrenton. Admission to either show is $5; Bluemont Friends and seniors, $4; ages 11 and younger, $2. Bluegrass Concert in the Woods

Listen to some top-notch bluegrass at a free concert from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve, 21085 The Woods Rd., in Leesburg. Or bring an instrument and join in. Among the performers will be Hollow Flint and Ernie Bradley and the Grassy Ridge. The event is sponsored by the Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation and the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. Call 703-771-5281.
