Authorities on Tuesday released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Sterling man this past weekend.
The victim of the shooting Saturday night has been identified as 26-year-old Danilo Jose Ramirez-Vega, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
No suspects have been arrested, sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell said.
Ramirez-Vega, of Sterling, was shot during an altercation with two men near the Big Lots discount store on Sterling Avenue, Troxell said.
The suspects were described as Hispanic, with one wearing a black and white horizontal-striped shirt and the other a black T-shirt. Both left the scene on bicycles, authorities said.
Ramirez-Vega died Saturday night at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 703-777-1021 or Loudoun County Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.
