Isn't it wonderful how the increase in violent crime is directly proportional to increases in our property taxes.
Hmmm....
Shouldn't that be indirectly proportional?
Funny, I moved to Loudoun 10 years ago in order to raise my family in a safe environment. My mistake. A note to all GPS thieves - I leave my car doors unlocked so please check the handle before breaking my windows to look for a GPS unit. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

To salm624: It's more than likely that the increase in crime is proportional to the growth in the number of people in the county who are not paying taxes. :)

Everyone seems to have lost their mind over the long weekend! What's up with the increase in very violent crimes over the past month or so????? And, yes, I have noticed the origins of the NAMES of those involved.

BlindMan1, you are probably correct but since they are here illegally we will never know how many of them there are. We need to get the police out of their comfortable vehicles, burning gas, and out walking the areas of high crime. It appears to me that many of these crimes occur in only a few locations. When was the last time you saw a cop walking or biking on a bike path? How about the streets of Ashburn? At 2:00 AM? Driving around with windows closed will not deter crime. A GPS thief can see the headlights coming from blocks away. The county needs a plan to disrupt this pattern of rapidly increasing crime. Does anyone on the BOS read these crime reports? How about the Sheriffs Office? If they do, they should be as concerned as I am. We should be hearing how they intend to curtail this trend.

Interesting how the amount of crime is geographically proportional to the distance from the Sterling area, where illegals find safe haven.

Just sayin'.

Actually there is a direct correlation between the schools being out for summer break and the rise in crime. Summer vacation leaves the county full of unsupervised teens. Watch the numbers in larcenies and other crimes drop precipitously come September.

Actually truthseekava, I would much rather not wait until September. Is that how the LC Sheriffs office feels too? I would prefer it if the police were out there preventing these crimes tonight.

There is no problem with the kids that attend LCPS (except to much disposable income). There is no gang problem in the LCPS (make sure you wear your colors and there is no problem) or LC (tag your area, we have taged ours so stay out)in general. There are no problems in LC.
