A 21-year-old Sterling man was found dead in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center this morning, authorities said.
The cause of Matthew Douglas Simpson’s death is under investigation, said Loudoun Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell.
Simpson had a “life-threatening medical issue in the past,” Troxell said, “but we don’t know if this issue is related to his death.”
Simpson missed breakfast this morning, but deputies making routine cell checks assumed he was sleeping, Troxell said. They discovered he was dead when he didn’t show up for lunch, Troxell said.

There were no signs of trauma to Simpson’s body, and there was no evidence he committed suicide, according to Troxell.
Simpson was booked into the jail Monday on a probation violation, stemming from two felony drug convictions last year, officials said.
He was being held without bond, awaiting a hearing at the Loudoun Adult Drug Treatment Court.

Sad truly sad. Think of the Tax dollars spend on this investigation, or saved not sure which?
