Broad Run Stifles Heritage
In the end, Broad Run did what it does best.
The Spartans held Heritage to four points in the fourth quarter, all on free throws, to secure a 43-35 victory at home in a Dulles District matchup.
Broad Run (6-4, 3-0) won despite getting only two points from star guard Alexis Campbell, who battled foul trouble. Junior forward Chelsea Gantt stepped up to lead the Spartans with 10 points, including 6 of 6 from the free-throw line, and junior guard Haley Johnson had 8 points and 5 steals.
Junior guard/forward Danielle Launi led Heritage (3-6, 1-2) with 10 points.
Next Tuesday, the Pride will host Briar Woods while the Spartans travel to Loudoun County in district matchups.
Langley Drops Stone Bridge
Junior forward Rachel Warrick scored 16 points and freshman forward Audrey Dotson added 13 to lead visiting Langley to a 44-34 win over Stone Bridge in a Liberty District matchup.
Courtney Bryant led the Bulldogs (3-7, 0-3) with 15 points.

Stone Bridge will look to bounce back at home next Tuesday against Madison while Langley (5-4, 2-0) will host South Lakes in a pair of district games.
Big Second Quarter Sparks Park View
Potomac Falls led after one quarter, but it was all Park View after that.
The Patriots had three players score in double figures and used a big second quarter to roll to a 63-32 victory over Potomac Falls on Friday in a Dulles District game.
Junior guard Rachael Miller had 15 points and freshman guard Shernise Disney added 14 for Park View (6-3, 2-1).
Potomac Falls (3-6, 0-3) led 13-8 after one quarter but was outscored, 22-4, in the second to trail 30-17 at halftime.
Both teams return to district play next Tuesday, with Park View playing at Dominion and Potomac Falls hosting Freedom-South Riding.
