Two illegal immigrants from El Salvador suspected of being gang members were arrested earlier this month in Leesburg and investigators are searching for a third, the Leesburg Police Department said today.

Wilbur Ernesto Aleman-Orellana, 18, and Oscar Edgardo Moz-Herrera, 23, both of Leesburg, have served time in an El Salvador prison on multiple homicide charges, investigators said.

A warrant has also been issued for the arrest of a third suspect, Rosie Orellana-Serrano, 29, of Leesburg.

They are suspected of being members of the 18th Street Gang.

Leesburg police, working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement detectives, stopped the three illegal immigrants in the area of Forbes Court and Heritage Way at about 9:20 p.m. on Feb. 14. All three immigrants provided authorities with false information concerning their identities, police said.

Investigators later learned that the three possessed several fictitious identification documents as well as items that indicated they might be affiliated with the street gang.

By the time authorities discovered the false documents and decided to proceed with charges, Orellana-Serrano had been released. Investigators said deportation proceedings had been initiated against her in 2005 for illegally entering the United States.

Aleman-Orellana has been charged with two counts of possession of false identification, two counts of forgery and an unlawful name change. Moz-Herrera is charged with possession of false identification, forgery and unlawful change of name. They are being held without bond at the Loudoun County jail on ICE detainers.
