Junior guard Bryan Whittington scored 17 points to help Marshall pull away for a 61-40 victory over visiting Stone Bridge on Monday in a Liberty District game.
Senior guard Nate Whittington added 13 for Marshall (6-13, 2-9), which had lost six straight games since beating Stone Bridge a little more than three weeks ago.
Junior forward Jerel Wright scored 17 points and Michael Prince added 14 for the Bulldogs (3-15, 0-11).

Stone Bridge will play at McLean on Thursday in a district matchup.
In the girls’ game at Stone Bridge, Marshall senior forward Ali Johnson had five blocked shots and a career-high 17 rebounds to spark a 51-42 victory over the Bulldogs on Monday in a Liberty District matchup.
Johnson also scored eight points for Marshall (6-12, 2-9).
Stone Bridge (5-13, 2-9) was led by senior guard Naomi Session, who scored 14 points.
The Bulldogs will host McLean on Thursday in a district game.
