Crime Blotter: Assault, Theft

Authorities are investigating cases of assault and vehicle pursuit, along with several thefts in the Ashburn and Sterling areas, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

- Burglary: Someone entered a vehicle in the 21500 block of Bankbarn Terrace in Ashburn and removed a garage door opener, then used the opener to enter the garage. Once inside, the person entered a second vehicle and stole numerous CDs. The incident took place between 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 and 7 a.m. Friday.

- Destruction of Property/Gang Graffiti: Possible gang-related graffiti was spray-painted on a brick wall in the 60 block of Sugarland Run Drive in Sterling around 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

- Assault/ICE Detainer: Raul A. Cabrera, 24, of Sterling, is being held on a federal detainer after being involved in a fight in the 100 block of Richland Circle in Sterling. Deputies responded to call about a fight in progress around 10 a.m. on Friday. It was then discovered that Cabrera was wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and he was taken into custody.

- Exposure/DIP: A Sterling man who was under the influence of alcohol was charged after a deputy saw him urinating in public in the 150 block of Enterprise Street in Sterling around 10:45 p.m. on Friday.

- Burglary: Three televisions were stolen from the gym area of a clubhouse in Cascades in the 20800 block of Wallingford Square in Sterling sometime between 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Damage is valued at $1,794.

- Brandishing a Weapon: Someone allegedly brandished a firearm during a party at a home in the 22200 block of Belmont Ridge Road in Brambleton around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

- Pursuit: A deputy on patrol in the area of Loudoun County Parkway and Marblehead Drive attempted to initiate a traffic stop with a vehicle without a proper license plate displayed around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle continued to drive and drove through a stop sign and continued onto Gloucester Parkway. The vehicle eventually pulled over in the area of Gala Circle. The driver, Namour F. Quenah, 35, of Ashburn, was charged with disregarding a signal to stop and driving on a revoked license.

- Burglary: Someone damaged an exterior basement door of a home in the 42700 block of Reynwood Place in Ashburn sometime between noon on Aug. 1 and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Nothing was reported missing.

- Destruction of Property: A GPS unit and CD player were stolen and the windows of five vehicles damaged in the 46900 block of Seneca Ridge Drive in Sterling. The incident, which caused $1,000 in damage, occurred between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.

- Larceny from a Vehicle: Cash and sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle in the 20780 block of Fenwick Drive in Ashburn between 8 p.m. Sunday and 4:30 a.m. Monday.
