Authorities are investigating several instances of theft along with an exposure incident and the pursuit of a possible suicidal subject in Ashburn, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. This report is composed of incidents reported from July 26 through August 1.
- Larceny from a Vehicle: A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle in the 21780 block of Willesden Junction Terrace in Sterling, and a window was damaged to gain entry. The incident, which took place between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, caused $600 in damage.
- Larceny: Someone entered a trailer in the 22600 block of Markey Court in Sterling and stole landscaping equipment worth $2,000 sometime between 7:30 p.m. July 24 and 7 a.m. on July 25.
- Burglary: Someone broke into several offices in the 46000 block of Lake Center Plaza in Sterling between 7 and 11:30 a.m. on July 26. A White male with short blonde hair, about 5'7" with a medium build was seen leaving the area. Nothing was taken.
- Burglary: A home in the 39600 block of Golden Springs Court in Hamilton was broken into around 11:55 p.m. on July 27. Nothing was reported missing.
- Destruction of Property/Hate Crime: A van belonging to Patrick Henry College parked on Patrick Henry Circle in Purcellville was vandalized with a black marker with possible anti-Semitic writing. The incident happened around noon on July 27.

- Burglary/Grand Larceny: Several laptop computers were stolen from a commercial business in the 45200 block of Business Court in Sterling. The incident, which resulted in $5,500 worth of damage, happened shortly after 5 a.m. on July 28.

He then got up onto his bicycle and he was exposing himself. The man was described as White in his mid-to-late 30s with a heavy build, wearing dark sunglasses, black shorts and no shirt.
- Larceny: A handheld game system and a camera worth $700 were stolen from a home in the 44300 block of Ladiesburg Place in Ashburn sometime between 8 a.m. on July 11 and 5 p.m. on July 25.
- Destruction of Property: Someone spray-painted graffiti on a stone wall in the area of Legacy Park Drive and Olympia Drive in Ashburn between midnight and 6:40 p.m. on July 31.
- Burglary: Jewelry, cash and clothing were stolen between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 31, from a home in the 1300 block of Kennedy Road in Sterling.
- Pursuit: Around midnight on Friday, Aug. 1, deputies responded to a report of a possible suicidal person in the area of Route 7 and Janeila Farm in Ashburn. The man was threatening to crash his car into another vehicle. He was stopped going westbound on Route 7 by a Sheriff's deputy. The vehicle then accelerated and eventually braked and ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The man was taken into custody and held on an Emergency Custody Order pending a mental evaluation.
- Larceny: Someone entered the trailer of an electric company in the 26100 block of Lightridge Farm Road in Aldie and took numerous items. The incident happened between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.
