The number of homes sold last month in Loudoun County declined compared to the previous month, but prices held steady, according to recently released numbers from the Dulles Area Association of Realtors.
The association reported that 411 homes were sold using a Realtor in August, down from 478 in July. There were 448 homes sold in August 2006.
Despite the decrease in sales, prices increased slightly from the previous month. The association reported that the median sales price in August was $444,500, which was up from $440,000 in July.
The median sales price in August 2006 was $486,500.
The number of active listings decreased slightly, from 3,746 in July to 3,712 in August, the Realtor association said.
The average home stayed on the market for 93 days last month, with sellers getting an average of about 93.5 percent of their list price.
