A South Riding woman has been charged after her car struck a school bus loaded with students from Mercer Middle School Tuesday afternoon, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
Eun O. Wang, 37, was charged with reckless driving. According to witnesses, Wang, who was driving a 2003 Honda Accord, was traveling on Edgewater Street at about 3:45 p.m. and didn't stop at a stop sign on Donavan Drive, authorities said.
None of the 34 students aboard the bus was seriously injured, authorities said.
A 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl who were passengers in Wang's car were taken to Inova Fairfax with non-life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition, the sheriff's office said. Wang is the mother of the two children.
The driver of the bus and a 12-year-old student received minor injuries in the crash but declined medical treatment, the sheriff's office said.
