Three players scored touchdowns as Loudoun Valley topped visiting Woodbridge 24-7 in non-district action Friday night.
Colin Owens ran for a touchdown, Wes Van Duser caught one and center Josh Phipps scored when he fell on a fumble in the end zone for the Vikings (1-1), who were coming off a 40-28 loss to Forest Park last week.
“We made a lot of improvements this week and we played much better,” Loudoun Valley Coach Bruce Sheppard said. “I’m pleased with their progress.”
Owens rushed for 58 yards, and quarterback Nick Sheehan was 11 of 22 for 58 yards.
