Crime Blotter: Burglary, Vehicle Larceny

Authorities are investigating the following crimes, including items taken from a vehicle in Ashburn, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

- Larceny from a vehicle: A vehicle was entered at 8:41 a.m. Tuesday in the 20870 block of Isherwood Terrace in Ashburn after someone damaged a driver-side window. An MP3 player and a vehicle "emergency care bag" were removed from the car, the sheriff's office said. The loss was estimated at $950.

- Burglary: Someone is believed to have taken a firearm from a home between 5 a.m. Monday and 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 26630 block of Bull Run Post Office Road in Chantilly. The sheriff's office's Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. The loss was estimated at $250.
