Stone Bridge Loses to W.T. Woodson
Junior guard/forward Stephen Stepka had 17 points and senior forward Greg Whitaker added 14 to lead W.T. Woodson to a 50-35 victory over Stone Bridge in a AAA Liberty District game Friday night.
Stone Bridge (2-4, 0-2) was led by junior forward KC Whitaker, who scored 12 points. W.T. Woodson (3-3, 2-0) won its second straight.

Broad Run Rolls Over Freedom
At 5 feet 5 inches, junior guard Haley Johnson is Broad Run’s smallest player. But on Friday night against Freedom-South Riding, she played big.
Johnson had 9 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists to spark the Spartans to a 40-25 victory in a AA Dulles District game that provided Broad Run a measure of revenge.
Senior guard Alexis Campbell had another strong all-around game, finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
Last season, the Spartans’ only loss in district play came at Freedom and on Friday, Broad Run made sure there would not be a repeat performance. The Spartans (4-3, 2-0) held the Falcons (3-3, 1-1) without a field goal in the second quarter in taking a 20-10 halftime lead.
Park View Picks Up District Win Over Heritage
Rachael Miller scored 19 points to lead Park View to a 66-60 victory over Heritage at home Friday night in a AA Dulles District matchup.
The Patriots (4-1, 1-1) also got key contributions from senior forward Julia Anyaugo, who scored 18 points, and junior guard Megan Barnes, who added 11.

Heritage (1-3, 1-1) had three players in double figures as well, led by freshman guard/forward Necole Sterling and sophomore guard Ceara Scott, who had 14 points apiece. Freshman guard/forward Erika Grabbi added 12.
Park View led, 39-32, at halftime.
Loudoun County Takes Care of Potomac Falls
Loudoun County took a big lead early in its game Friday night and never let up, rolling to a 70-33 victory over host Potomac Falls in a AA Dulles District game.
The Raiders (7-2, 2-0) led 24-6 after the first quarter and 43-11 at halftime in winning their fifth straight game.
Senior guard Samantha Akers had 14 points and 4 steals, freshman guard Brittany Batts scored 13 points and sophomore forward Kendra Holmes added 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Symone Berry had 9 points to lead Potomac Falls (2-4, 0-2).
W.T. Woodson Drops Stone Bridge
This time, Stone Bridge was on the losing side of a blowout.
The visiting Bulldogs were unable to keep up with W.T. Woodson Friday night and ultimately fell, 50-35 Friday night in a AAA Liberty matchup.
Stone Bridge had snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 52-22 win over Falls Church. On Friday, W.T. Woodson outscored Stone Bridge, 25-5, in the first quarter and cruised from there.
Senior center Sarah Schoof had 20 points and 9 rebounds while sophomore guard Melissa Gallo had 10 points and 9 rebounds to lead Woodson (5-1, 1-0).
Junior guard Courtney Bryant had 8 points for Stone Bridge (2-4, 0-3).
Albritton Helps Dominion Dominate Briar Woods
Junior guard Deandre Albritton continued his scoring barrage on Friday.
Albritton scored 27 points, including five three-pointers, to help Dominion cruise past visiting Briar Woods, 74-39, in a AA Dulles District matchup.
The star guard had scored 32 points in three quarters on Tuesday in a loss to Freedom-South Riding. But this time, there was never any doubt for the Titans, who led 25-8 after the first quarter and 44-18 at halftime.
Senior center Ben Dickerson and senior guard Tony Hasper scored 12 points apiece for Dominion (2-3, 1-1).
Junior guard/forward Brian Mahoney paced Briar Woods (1-7, 0-2) with 11 points.
