County-sponsored commuter buses depart from park-and-ride lots in Purcellville, Hamilton, Leesburg, Stone Ridge and Dulles North Transit Center and stop at the West Falls Church Metro station, Rosslyn, the Pentagon and in the District. The one-way fare is $7 exact change or $6 with a SmarTrip card.

Other county commuter bus routes run from Cascades and Lowes Island to the West Falls Church Metro station, and from the West Falls Church Metro to four stops, including AOL and Verizon headquarters. The one-way fare is $2 exact change of $1.50 with a SmarTrip card.

Provides public transit in Loudoun and Fauquier counties, with 10 scheduled routes (nine in Loudoun) and on-demand service in some parts of the counties.
Highlights:
The 7-to-7-on-7 bus connects Leesburg to Dranesville, with 10 stops along the Route 7 corridor, running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. The fare is 50 cents.
The Leesburg Trolley, one of three routes in Leesburg, makes 30-minute loops between the historic district and Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets mall. It runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, with weekend service during summer and holiday seasons and extended hours during Leesburg First Friday events. Trolley rides are free.
The Circuit Rider loops around Warrenton, making 23 stops, including the historic downtown and Fauquier Hospital. It runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays. The fare is 50 cents.

White's Ferry, the only regularly operating ferry on the Potomac River, is off U.S. 15 via Route 655, about four miles northeast of Leesburg. The Maryland station is about six miles west of Poolesville.
The one-way charge is $4 for cars, $2 for motorcycles, $1 for bicycles, 50 cents for pedestrians and as much as $9 for trucks.
The ferry carries as many as 24 vehicles and runs from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily year-round, weather-permitting.
