Kailee's 5K Run/Walk

When: Saturday, May 10, 2008, 8 a.m.

Where: Newton-Lee Elementary School, 43335 Gloucester Parkway, Ashburn

Cost: Not available

Age limit: Not available

Categories: Race, Fundraiser

Description: In October, 6-year-old Kailee Vance was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma,
a rare form of cancer. A 5K run/walk is being organized to help raise
money for the Vance family and Kailee's treatment.

The race will begin and end at Newton-Lee Elementary School in Ashburn,
where Kailee is a kindergartner. The route will take participants by the
Vance house two times, so that no matter how Kailee is feeling the day
of the event, she can be part of the festivities.

Dozens of items donated by area businesses will be raffled off after the
run/walk to raise funds as well. [Raffle tickets cost $5 each. Folks
need not be present to win.]

For more information about the event--and Kailee--visit www.kaileesrun.com.
