Description: Each day during the first week of October, students will be collecting donations for the Susan G. Komen Foundation before school and during all lunch shifts. There will be various activities throughout the week for students to teach students about breast cancer, including facts read aloud on our morning announcements, a guest speaker, pink ribbons on the antennas on the cars of BRHS students and staff, and a t-shirt. The main event is going to take place during the home football game Friday, Oct. 5. The student section, parents, cheerleaders, football trainers, administration, staff, and everyone else involved in the event will be wearing pink to show that anyone can be effected by breast cancer. In addition, there will be a booth set up inside the gates for fans to donate, pick up awareness flyers, and buy "The Pink Effect" T-shirts.
