Questions & Answers

Q: What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

A: The most urgent problem facing our jurisdiction is the quality of life of our citizens. In order to address that, I believe we must deal with the aging infrastructure of the town, safety for pedestrians, development of local services for citizens and environmental issues.

Q: How would you rate your town’s relationship with Loudoun County officials and what, if anything, would you do to improve that relationship?

A: My experience is limited, however, I think that it is vital to the relationship between the Town and County to function in partnership recognizing the different roles each has.

Q: Do you believe additional steps are needed to control the pace of development in your community?

A: Although change and growth are inevitable, how it impacts the town can vary greatly, depending on the decisions made by the governing body. As part of that body, I would work to insure that the changes support the quality of life for the residents as well as the merchants of Middleburg and the environment of our rural town.

Q: In March, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the transportation package passed by lawmakers last year unconstitutional, endangering major projects across the region. What steps, if any, should the county, region and state take to address funding issues for transportation projects?

A: *NR*

Q: Why should voters elect you?

A: I am concerned and willing to dedicate my time and energy to the Town of Middleburg.
