Questions & Answers

Q: What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

A: 1. Making sure that Hamilton remains a friendly, small town despite the nearby development pressures. 2. Maintaining high-quality water and sewer service to town residents. 3. Keeping Hamilton on a sound fiscal policy in trying economic times without raising taxes excessively.

Q: How would you rate your town’s relationship with Loudoun County officials and what, if anything, would you do to improve that relationship?

A: Hamilton maintains good relations with Board of Supervisors and with the School Board. We must continue to work hard to keep these relationship.

Q: Do you believe additional steps are needed to control the pace of development in your community?

A: Yes, we must keep aware of increasing transportation and infrastructure needs in Hamilton and the surrounding towns and county areas.

Q: In March, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the transportation package passed by lawmakers last year unconstitutional, endangering major projects across the region. What steps, if any, should the county, region and state take to address funding issues for transportation projects?

A: Work with our elected officials to solve these problems by addressing new legislation, if necessary.

Q: Why should voters elect you?

A: I have the experience necessary to help Hamilton cope with increasing fiscal and population pressure.
