Questions & Answers

Q: What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

A: We need to keep our downtown business district healthy and vibrant, which, in turn, helps our whole town. There are more and more developments and shopping districts all around Middleburg, and they seem to be moving closer and closer. We need to protect not only our town, but the surrounding area. The drive to Middleburg is very important to us, as well.

Q: How would you rate your town’s relationship with Loudoun County officials and what, if anything, would you do to improve that relationship?

A: Middleburg has a good relationship with the County and I believe it will get even stronger with the new Board of Supervisors.

Q: Do you believe additional steps are needed to control the pace of development in your community?

A: We have a good comprehensive plan, which we are currently updating, and we are constantly reviewing our zoning ordinances, etc. We also have wonderful members on our Planning Commission & HDRC that work extremely hard!

Q: In March, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the transportation package passed by lawmakers last year unconstitutional, endangering major projects across the region. What steps, if any, should the county, region and state take to address funding issues for transportation projects?

A: *NR*

Q: Why should voters elect you?

A: I will continue to work hard to preserve, protect and represent our town.
