RHumbLine, this is to see the VP candidate, not the Presidential candidate. You are comparing apples to oranges. They have to send Biden to diners where they are offering free food so he will even have people show up!!

RhumbLine and truthseekerva,
WHY get nasty? Are you really that immature? There is no need for that type of childish behavior.

Loudoun is pretty important to the repub ticket right?
This rally is a half-hearted response to last weeks event.
Enough said.

PALIN FOR PRESIDENT!
If they dropped mccain from the ticket - the GOP would win!
God has sent Gov. Palin to save our great nation!

The election has not happened yet. We will see what happens.

By the way, LoudExtra, your video feed is not showing the Palin event. It is just a shot of the front doors of a building. What's the deal?

The Biden rally in Sterling had ~10,000 people. Hardly free dinner crowds!

God has sent us two idiot governors in a row? He must really be ticked off at the USA!

Let's just get this over with. Either way, half the country is going to want to go to war with the other half after election day.

Wow, OTH, people disagree with you and so they are Anti-American? I thought that the whole POINT of America is that people are free to disagree.
Posted by elizmiller (anonymous) on October 27, 2008 at 10:39 a.m. (Suggest removal)
No, they are anti-American by their own actions. I have nothing to do with their miserable grousing and bitterness towards their own country. Nice Spin, Wow ...

I talked with the Secret Service at the Palin rally. There were 400-thousand people there!!! :-)
Posted by truthseekerva (anonymous) on October 27, 2008 at 10:51 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Apparently, in OTH's vision of America, people are supposed to leave, if they disagree with government policies. I assume he has his house on the market and bags are packed, 'cause he ain't gonna like the next 8 years.
Posted by danwpnews (anonymous) on October 27, 2008 at 10:54 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Bitterness towards their own country? Wow, what a pathetic statement. It's a shame that you can't accept losing. I pity you.

Hey, please point out where I said anyone had to leave. If you'd rather stay and grouse while receiving handouts that would be understandable. It's the hypocrisy Democrats are known for.
Win or Lose, I'll be staying, as will the millions of those who agree with me.

It's kind of funny how many times you Obamarxists have claimed victory; even as early as a week or two ago. "The One" is ahead according to polls, but aren't you just a teenie-weenie afraid how foolish you will look if he loses?
Posted by OhTheHumanity (anonymous) on October 27, 2008 at 11:07 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Way to go, OTH. When Republican incumbent Michelle Bachmann made the same kind of McCarthyite statements on tv last week, the GOP abandoned her campaign, her opponent raised half a million dollars in one day, and she's now fighting to keep her seat. We all love our country. There's no need for that kind of divisiveness. We can't afford that right now.

Vote with your brain, don't be fooled by McCain:
Hate. Fear. Greed. 8 more years?
Vote for the CHANGE WE NEED: Obama '08

What does it matter how many people showed up at the rally? A lot of people at the Obama rally that I talked to hadn't decided how they would vote. Just because someone comes to a rally (or doesn't come to a rally), doesn't mean their vote is in the bag. They have to like what they hear and then act on it.
Posted by lakym97 (anonymous) on October 27, 2008 at 12:05 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Hate - Rev. Wright anyone?
Fear - Within six months, we'll be in a crisis
Greed - Paying more taxes is your patriotic duty
Vote how you like - just don't be a sheep. Obama doesn't stand for change "we" need, he stands for populism, higher taxes, and big government.

Gotta love the guy with the "Proud Rednecks for McCain - Palin". And they said Northern Virginia isn't the "real" Virginia?! LOL. Oh, I think Virginia is alive and well in Northern VA. Hopefully it hides on election day and something good can finally happen in this country.
If McCain wanted to distance himself from George Bush he should have started doing it at least 8 years ago. Because we're not fooled right now.
Ah, the McPainful ticket - has to be one of the most awful, funny predicaments I've seen Republicans be in since....well, since there was a Quayle in the Bush.

The latest interview dug up from Obama-bin-Marxist has him lamenting that the Supreme Court hasn't "[broken] free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers and the Constitution", and further complains that it "never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth." That's right, you morons - your nominee doesn't like the restraints of the Constitution. How can you honestly call yourselves American and vote for him?!

Erica, thanks for trying to report on a balanced forum. You did a fair job and I think you for your efforts.

I second funnyguy's sentiment; I thought the Palin rally would get unbalanced reporting (if any), and you proved me wrong.

You know what's funnier than someone repeating "in-thetank" poll numbers for Obama....not much. The IBD polling has McCain gaining on Obama everyday. The 26th's data reflected a closing margin between the candidates from 3.2 to a 2.8 point spread on the 27th. What is the IBD, you may ask? It's the Investor's Business Daily, the same poll that nailed the results of the 2004 Bush race within 3/10ths of ONE PERCENT.

ACORN UPDATE! "Sen. McCain himself spoke at an ACORN rally on illegal immigration in 2006." Don't take my word for it - go to Annenberg Political FactCheck web page called FactCheck.org.

large McCain campaign contributor named Fred Eshelman bankrolling a 527 group named "RightChange.com" which is
claiming to be a "nonpartisan" organization critizing Obama's refundable tax credit. Annenberg FactCheck page reveals their
ads contain virtually no element of truth.

Hey Hoqenishy, if Obama's "refundable tax credit" of $500 for workers (or $1,000 for couples) is a "wealth distribution" scheme why can't the same thing be said of McCain's proposed "refundable tax credit" of up to $2,500 ($5,000 for couples) as part of his health care plan?

boomerbaby54,
Annenberg Political FactCheck has been shown to be in-the-tank for Obama. Secondly-Tax increases- BECAUSE 40% of the folks who'd be getting the handout from OBAMA don't file tax returns now. They've never had to pay into the system. Ever. Not once. But they'll get money back. Meanwhile YOU will be paying for it. Obama's charge that he won't be raising taxes on anyone under $250K is not based in truth. See, technically, when he does not renew the Bush tax cuts, and the rates go back to what they were in 2000, EVERYBODY's taxes will go back to what they were in 2000. But because HE didn't ACTUALLY increase your taxes, HE feels that he's not to blame. But there you'll be...with a larger portion of your money gone... unless you didn't file at all, or you got a refund in 2000.-and to your final rampage-
I swear ignorance is rampant. The biggest difference in the oil revenues in Alaska and the spreading of the wealth by Obama??? The FACT that the Alaskan Constitution clearly states that the oil located in and under Alaska BELONGS to the residents. You really need to read more before you post about things that demonstrate your ignorance of the subject matter.
"Sen. McCain himself spoke at an ACORN rally on illegal immigration in 2006."
While Obama represented them as a lawyer, was retained to teach them how to register voters "his way", and is the candidate that ultimately got the endorsement of an organization that recieves government funds --and as such has no business endorsing EITHER candidate.
WAY better than just attending one event with them, huh??
