RELATED MULTIMEDIA: Audio and LIVE Video from today's Obama Rally

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama will be in Leesburg at Ida Lee Park on Wed. Oct. 22 at 5:30 for a Change We Need rally.

The event is free and open to the public but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.

Tim Buchholz, chairman of the Loudoun County Democrat Committee anticipates that parking will be a mess, so it's recommended that attendees carpool, walk or bike to the event. The public entrance will be off North King Street.

Gates open at 3 p.m.

This will be Senator Obama's eighth trip to Virginia since he became the Democrat's nominee for President. He will be in Richmond campaigning earlier in the day.

Stay tuned to www.LoudounExtra.com for more coverage of Obama's visit to Loudoun County.

Do you think this announcement will prompt a Loudoun campaign stop from Sen. John McCain and/or Gov. Sarah Palin?

Looks like he may fit this in before heading to Hawaii to spend time with his grandmother who is ill.

I question the timing.

question the timing of what? the rally or the his grandmother's illness... ? are you actually saying that you think the illness is fabricated?

Ida Lee Park is a fitting venue for the Obama Rally; a really, really big field full of manure ...

I'm excited. My whole family will be there, but we can walk so I don't have to get into the traffic mess. Obama's grandmother has been ill most of the summer and he has been to see her off and on, and he took his daughters to visit her in the hospital in August. Must be bad this time for him to leave right at the end of his campaign.

OhTheHumanity - Another useless post from what is more than likely a McCain voter, who gets off from anonymous postings with no value or substance and is unable to vent his frustrations any other way.

OTH you show more about yourself and what you represent with your numerous postings than anything else. i.e. "I am of little intelligence to carry a logical debate, I belittle whatever I see at every opportunity, whether it has any bearing in reality." I pity you and your ilk.

I hope they have a bigger turn out than they did at O'Falions. Maybe 20 people at that one. VOTE OB

I am not voting for Mr. Obama, but I do plan to attend the event. Traffic is going to be miserable, but it is within walking distance from my house :)

Vote for Ayers

Whatever your politics may be - this is VERY exciting for Loudouners - and it shows that the Obama campaign knows how important OUR votes are in determining the outcome of the election...I love it!

snore ..... another elitist twenty-something dimwit who can't stand the fact that not everybody adores "The One" (gasp) like they do ...

Get used to it, Skippy. I pity blind ignorance, and your party has got it in spades (again ... shocker!)

OTH, let me show you where you are wrong:

Elitist? How did you draw that conclusion? I guess a good education and proper grammar and showing respect is elitism to you.

Twenty-something? I did my military service during the Reagan years, so try twice that.

I have no problem with people who disagree, as long as they can form a proper argument, unlike you who just drop 1 sentence "dumb" bombs in every news posting whether it's related to anything political or not.

If you pity blind ignorance then you should look in the mirror and your postings. Since all you are doing is regurgitating the same junk over again and by not responding to any of my points I made, you made my point again for me, and every time you post.

So if you could, show how your posts related to the subject matter (say the underage teen drinking raid) and how you came to the conclusion that the adult was "Another Obama Voter goes down in flames".

I'll be waiting for your intelligent and concise response, that shows how you came to that realization.

Cybrpnksys.....If we were judging the intelligence of contributrs by the writing...And we're not... you just showed your stripes, too.
You and your "ilk" totally overlook the Ayers connection (but I'd lay money on your response if McCain was exposed as having had an unsavory alliance with someone)
You and your "ilk" somehow assume that the financial meltdown is Republican's fault...when it's VERY CLEAR that Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and a whole host of others (including a novice Obama)lined up to defend Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac against the "evil republican oversight" just three years ago.
You and your "ilk" are probably so young, you do not know, much less remember Carter's failures, and how much this one's planned failures remind us of those years.
Carter made mistakes with Iran that are still very much with us 30 years later, pal.
Obama saying he does not want to continue to aid Israel is going to backfire on him. It just shows his total lack of world view.

Change is coming - prepare to bend over and open your wallets, folks. The gravy train needs a'fundin to keep the lowest common social denominator happy!

Hey Hoqenishy - Palins coming. Throw open the doors of Neiman Marcus - a new wardrobe is in order. Didn't you just hear "I just said NO to that pesky bridge to nowhere but I SURE AS HECK can't say no to a new $150,000 wardrobe!"

honchonumberone - Funny I mentioned NONE of those things. Try and defend OTH, please which is what I was discussing.

But since you actually have actual information as opposed to OTH....
Too young to remember Carter nope, also remember Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton as well. Trust me NONE were saints or geniuses in every aspect of their presidency. We've as in the "U.S." have created most of our problems in our fight against communism (the enemy of our enemy is our friend only works for so long). Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan is proof of that. So please don't cherry pick your examples.

Oh so you can throw out a a very loose affiliation but I can't, yeah that's a great way to win a debate. But just to make you happy here's some loose ones as well - Magee, and USCWF.

If I could get a link to where Obama said he would'nt aid Israel I would like to see. I seem to have heard different on LIVE NATIONAL TELEVISION in front of the WHOLE COUNTRY not too long ago.

But thanks for at least outdoing OTH, and if you can somehow justify his comments in every unrelated news posts that would be something (and was the point I was originally making).

A vote for OB is a vote for AYERS

"Funny I mentioned NONE of those things"
Yeah, with your explanations above, I can see why.
Between ACORN lies on associations (there were two OUTRIGHT lies on his webpage that were recently cleaned)and between giving an unrepentant terrorist possible access to the President's ear (Deny it, it only entertains me)and the Democrat attempt to put a thumb on anyone who says anything less than glamorous about the loser (the first amendment is seriously over-rated anyway, huh?)plus a tax SCHEME that sends us into a deep recession (ala CARTER)that last for four years until a republican (thereby an ECONOMIST)wins and is able to lift the Country out of the tailspin.....
OR... we elect McCain and the markets stabilize as businesses bring out the money they've been stashing like mad into the cracks, businesses reinvest their capital gains into ventures that produce jobs, and we get past this stupidity.
