Presidential Candidate 2028?

Erica Garman at 10:44 a.m., May 20, 2008

So, who will you be voting for in 2028?

I know, I know, you may not even know who you’ll be voting for this November.

But come Election Day 2028, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Michael Monrroy’s name on the ticket. The 18-year-old Park View High grad is testing his electibility in the SiTV and Voto Latino Crash the Parties online campaign -- and so far, he’s a front-runner.

If he wins, Monrroy will get an all-expense paid trip and press pass to the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., and become a featured blogger on the SiTV Web site. (The winning Dem gets a trip to the Democratic National Convention in Denver).

Watch Monrroy’s video -- I think he’s got what it takes to make a winning politician: looks, charisma and … appropriate hand gesturing.

Monrroy, a self-described first generation Latino-American who is studying political science at American University, feels that the three biggest issues facing Americans today are the economy, health care and the war in Iraq/national security.

According to the Web site, you can vote for Monrroy once a day, every day, until June 18 -- no political affiliation required.
