Firefighter Faces Long Recovery

This is just hearsay, mind you, but a few sources close to the career firefighter who sustained the most injuries in Sunday’s fire tell me this young man has a long recovery ahead of him. He’s recently received a skin graft and is undergoing physical therapy. Read full entry and discussion »

Strawberry Fields Aren’t Forever

The Strawberry Jubilee at Great Country Farms, which took place over Memorial Day weekend, was a huge success, said owner Debbie Zurschmeide. Early Morning 'UFO' Rattles Loudoun

Is That Windshield Decal Worth $25?

Presidential Candidate 2028?

So, who will you be voting for in 2028? I know, I know, you may not even know who you’ll be voting for this November. But come Election Day 2028, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Michael Monrroy’s name on the ticket. America’s Polo Cup: Complaints Runneth Over?

The CW channel in the metro area, WDCW-TV, will be airing "Land Rover America's Polo Cup--Where the Elite Meet" on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The show, hosted by Paul Wharton, of MTV and VH1 fame, will feature highlights from Friday night's exclusive gala and fashion show, and footage from Saturday's polo event at Morven Park. Signal Delays, Greenway Pays and (Grrrr) Route 7 Backups

Vandals Destroy $5,600 Concert Sign

LoCo Fees for Fido and Fluffy

Our cat, Ruby, is now 16 years old. I pulled up one of Ruby’s vet bills from Pender Veterinary Clinic in Fairfax dated Jan. 21, 1995. Total: $29.75. For giggles, I called Ruby’s clinic in Ashburn to see what they currently charge for similar services. Total: $71.20. More interesting is the regional price variance in veterinary care.
