Good News for Housing Market
The Real Estate Bakery blogger Jonathan Bunn said the Loudoun housing market is improving in his morning post. “Since main stream media loves to play up bad news I think it is important to highlight that our local housing market is showing some great signs of strength and balance,” he wrote. He said that although there are fewer homes on the market each month, home sales have stayed, and amount of new listings on the market is decreasing every month, which is a positive development because less supply is good.
Leesburg Airport Defies Economy
The Loudoun Times-Mirror reports that although the economy is slow, the Leesburg airport is “soaring.” Commercial airlines are taking a hit because of added security, the rise in gas prices and flight cancellations, and as a result many smaller airports are doing better business.
