Charity Auction in Leesburg
“The Dulles Area Association of Realtors (DAAR) is sponsoring the 17th annual charity auction and dinner to raise funds for Loudoun County charities at River Creek Country Club in Leesburg,” posted Loudounscene.com. “More than $39,000 was raised and donated to local charities last year. Proceeds benefitted Rebuilding Together-Christmas In April, Good Shepherd Alliance, Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter-Children's Services, Loudoun Cares, Loudoun Families for Children, Volunteers of American Emergency Shelter and Volunteers of America Transitional Housing Shelter.”

Loudoun Resident Named Chaplain of the Year
Chaplain Gary Myers, a volunteer for the Loudoun County Fire-Rescue Station 6 in Ashburn, was named Northern Virginia Chaplain of the Year by Industrial and Commercial Ministries, according to an article in the Loudoun Times-Mirror.
