Homes Sales Up in Loudoun
The Loudoun County Real Estate blogger provides a summary of the industry’s third quarter. “Sales continue to be strong in Loudoun County through the just completed third quarter. 1484 homes went under contract during the three months ended September 30th. This is a huge 67% increase over the same time period last year. However, prices continue to take a beating with the average sales price down $133,000 to $354,000 during the quarter.”
Scout Raises $1,000 for Red Cross To attain the rank of Eagle Scout, Chris Kalinowski gave a check for $1,000 to Loudoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross, according to an article in Leesburg Today. Kalinowski spent much of the year raising funds for the chapter. The money will be benefit soldiers recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Support for College Campus Grows During today's meeting of the Economic Development Commission, many people from around the county voiced their support for an expanded, shared higher education complex for George Mason University and the Northern Virginia Community College, according to this Leesburg Today article.
