Mercer Middle School at Capacity
According to John Stevens over at Our Loudoun Schools and a news release posted on the LCPS Web site, "The projected enrollment of 1,468 students for the 2008-2009 school year at Mercer Middle School cannot be accommodated." Students who register after June 17 who should be attending Mercer Middle School will be assigned to Stone Hill Middle School, which is 13 miles away.
No Trader Joe's in Loudoun – Yet
Blogger LoCo Loca reports that despite a desire by many for a Trader Joe's in Loudoun, shoppers will have to keep making the trek to Reston for the next several years. "The sarcastic but friendly TJ phone answerer said there’s a lot of demand for a Trader Joe’s in Loudoun, and he hopes/expects that there will be one within the next five years. It didn’t sound like anything would materialize in the next year or two," she wrote.
Fitness Business Moves to Sterling
According to The Washington Business Journal, Fitness Resource, an exercise equipment supplier, is moving its headquarters from Merrifield to TransDulles Centre in Sterling.
