Weekend Entertainment
If you're looking for something to do this weekend, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the Easter holiday. If worship services and egg hunts aren't your style, fret not: There is plenty going on this weekend to keep you entertained.
Saturday, there is an Easter Flower Sale at the Round Hill Fire and Rescue Department. While you are there, meet fire department members and learn about becoming a fire and rescue volunteer to help answer calls in the community. There's also an Easter egg hunt at the Bluemont Community Center and an egg hunt and carnival at Sterling United Methodist Church.
Singer, songwriter and storyteller Andrew McKnight, whose music is a mix of folk, blues and bluegrass, will perform songs from his new CD in a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Franklin Park Visual and Performing Arts Center in Purcellville. Also on Saturday, Bill Yates and Friends will play songs of the Country Gentlemen — a group that Yates belonged to for 20 years — at the Lucketts Community Center.
Saturday and Sunday, the Leesburg Animal Park is hosting an egg hunt and chance to meet the animals.
Sunday, there are plenty of worship services to chose from. You can get an early start at the 5 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service at Galilee United Methodist Church, or attend Chantilly Baptist Church's Sunday school Easter program. St. James United Church of Christ in Lovettsville will be hosting an Easter festival and offering communion. For a complete list of Sunday services, visit the LoudounExtra.com events calendar.

There are two playgrounds and a small community pool that serves the needs of the Belmont Greene community," they wrote.

The Board of Supervisors might start dedicating more funds to recruiting businesses to the county, according to this article from The Washington Business Journal. According to the article, "The plan would transfer some funds from the Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association (LCVA) to the economic development organization, which would use the money to hire more people who could help lure companies to the county."
