Special Needs Children in LCPS
Barbara over at Mommy Life has written an entry about her children with Down syndrome and their interactions with Loudoun County Public Schools. "Bottom line: excluding kids with Down syndrome from a local school has a negative impact on the community's perception of them - and on the community as a whole," she wrote.

Steps to Communicating With the School Board
Blogger and School Board member John Stevens has outlined steps on his blog, Our Loudoun Schools, for effectively pursuing an issue with the school board. He points out that, "Now, new committee chairs have been assigned, new meeting times are being negotiated and a new year's set of agendas are being filled. If you have an issue that you want the School Board to consider this year, this is a good time to bring it forward."
