Real Estate Values and Money for Schools
Real estate bloggers Danilo and Tony, whose recent post about assessed real estate values stirred up some controversy, have written another post on the subject. Critical of school budget increases, the bloggers wrote, "We have already increased our taxes significantly in the past 7 years and now it is time to be fiscally responsible. … We can do it by voicing our opinions to the new Board of Supervisors. Let them know that enough is enough. Our homes are not a blank check for them to cash."

State Court to Hear NVTA Case
The Virginia Supreme Court will hear arguments today in the case of the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority's new transportation taxes, according to this article from The Examiner. Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio (R-Sterling) told the Examiner he is concerned about unelected officials having the authority to tax residents.

Reaction to Editorial
Lowell over at Farewell Frank has posted some reaction to yesterday's editorial from The Washington Post about Loudoun County. "Right, 'it was a start' in Loudoun County," the blogger wrote. "And, come November, it can be a 'start' in Washington, DC as well, with a new president and a new representative for the 10th district."

Another Candidate Enters Town Council Race
David Butler joins Frank Holtz and David Tevis in the race for a seat on the Leesburg Town Council, according to this article from Leesburg Today. Town elections will take place in May.
