Lane Closings
Loudoun County Traffic reports today that because of road work, "There will be single lane closures on Harry Byrd Highway eat and west (Route 7) at River Creek Parkway near Leesburg." The closures will be on the Goose Creek Bridge each day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until this Friday, May 2.

Deputy Revives Child
Barbara over at Mommy Life commented on yesterday's LoudounExtra.com story about Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputy Sean McCormack, who helped revive a 1-year-old boy after stopping to check on a woman who had pulled her car onto the shoulder. "As a mother," she writes, "I got goose bumps."

Sheriff Seeks Help with Assault Case
The Loudoun Times-Mirror has a story about an 18-year-old who was attacked by several people when walking around the Sweetwater Car Wash area. The victim "...Was later taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. "The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is still looking for information on the identities of the assailants.

New BBQ
Holly over at Ashburn Reviews discusses the charm of the new Carolina Brothers Pit Barbeque. "It just feels like you are eating at a restaurant that has been there for many years. It is really no frills eating. But that is part of its charm," she writes. "We'll probably add Carolina Brothers to our regular rotation. It was that good."
