Child Porn Charges
A Leesburg man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to several child pornography-related charges, according to this story from the Loudoun Times-Mirror. Michael E. Highfield, 39, was indicted on the charges last October after an investigation by the Leesburg Police Department.

Blogger Paradox13VA writes that he is concerned that a recent immigration raid at Lansdowne Resort was just "for show." He wrote, "First, the raid happens in a time and place that has no tangible benefit for anyone. Then, the connected and powerful in Loudoun go out of their way to pretend it did not happen. Now there comes news that ICE itself seems to be making sure the raid was useless."

Leesburg Town Council members on Tuesday promised residents one-month notice of any public hearings on the removal of stop signs on Meade Drive. Leesburg Today has the story.
LCPS Nurses
Barbara over at Mommy Life has a post about nurses at Loudoun County Public Schools. She writes that she feels her children with special needs are unfairly targeted. "I made this charge last year when I had three sons in the same school and was receiving several calls a week about all of them. This year two of my sons have moved to different schools and am not receiving calls from their new school nurses. Does that tell us anything?" she wrote.
