On a weekend that most fathers set aside for golf or relaxation, the parents of the Loudoun (Virginia) Fuze U13 select lacrosse team got up before dawn and headed to Annapolis for a weekend of top level lacrosse. The 22 players that span across Loudoun County and will eventually feed at least six different county high schools arrived in Annapolis after just two team practices to face some of the best players in the nation.

The team played through driving gale force rain, three inches of bud and the occasional thunderstorm delay, to successfully depart late Sunday afternoon with 5-0 record including victories over teams from Chicago, Philadelphia, New Jersey and a final overtime victory over Dallas.
