Highland's Garrett Is All-Time LAX Points Leader

Will Garrett, a 2009 graduate of The Highland School in Warrenton, finished his high school lacrosse career this spring with the highest scoring total in area history. His 405 total points are the best known total of any high school lacrosse player in the region.

This season Garrett led the team to its first Division II VISAA State Title game in which they defeated Virginia Episcopal School 18-9.

In four years at Highland, Garrett has racked up numerous accolades including...

  • Two time All-American (2009, 2008)
  • Three time First Team All- State (2009, 2008, 2007)
  • Highland All-Time Leading Scorer (405 points)
  • Two time Highland School Male Athlete of the Year (2009, 2008)
  • Two time Washington Post All-Met – Honorable Mention (2009, 2008)
  • Washington Post- All Extra First Team (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006)
  • Two time team Captain (2009, 2008)
  • Delaney Athletic Conference MVP (2009, 2008, 2006)
  • Delaney Conference 1st Team (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006)

    An honor roll student in every semester of his high school career, Garrett will continue his studies and lacrosse career at Washington & Lee University in the fall.
