Syracuse Offers Flemming

Broad Run wide receiver Adrian Flemming is the latest Loudoun County football player to pick up a Division I offer, with Syracuse extending a scholarship to the Spartans receiver yesterday, according to Broad Run Coach Mike Burnett.

Flemming already has offers from Marshall and Delaware.

The 6-foot-4 receiver caught 31 passes for 659 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior for the Virginia AA Division 4 state champions, including a touchdown pass in the state championship and a key fourth down reception late in the game.

I recently saw Flemming after a workout this spring and he certainly looks as if he is ready for a breakout senior season. Burnett told me that the Spartans know they must get him involved early and often, and I know opposing teams always game plan to make sure their secondary is well aware of where he lines up.

Flemming has turned more and more heads after recent combine performances, where he ran a 4.6 40-yard dash and a 33-inch vertical.

Awesome! This recruiting class from Loudoun County is shaping up to be the best ever with Williams, Peeler, and Flemming holding more offers than anyone in a long time. I hope the offers snowball for them and their teammates.

You are absolutely right! I hope to see many more names added to the list as the season progresses. But, don't expect too many additions from the Broad Run team. When you talk to that coach about the players, he starts off modestly positive and always finishes with a...but...That coach only points out the weaknesses of his players (even though they were State Champs. You'd think he'd be proud of all his players. He has his two favorites and that's it. I'm pretty sure there's more than 2 good players on that team, but then again he doesn't seem to think so. To all the parents out there trying to help your kids achieve their dreams....keep up the good work! The parents are the only ones that really care about their kids futures anyway. Way to go Chase, TJ and Adrian! You have bright futures ahead, keep up the good work. Let's see more names added to the list.

I'm extremely proud of the Broad Run Team and of ALL the kids. The coach does a great job of keeping everyone motivated and to see the kids function as a team is something that is rare in this day and age. I look forward to an exciting 2009 season. Go Spartans!

I am very proud of Adrian Flemming and I'm looking forward and seeing and hearing about his success in his football career.

Good Luck from your cousin!
