Heritage captured its first Dulles District regular season title last night with a 2-1 overtime victory over Loudoun County on Senior Night. Luis Brun Rodriguez scored both goals, with assists from Nana Darko and Shawn Page.
With the win, Heritage secures the top seed in the district tournament and also a trip to the Region II playoffs.
Meanwhile, in Sterling, Uche Onyeador had three goals in a 4-2 Potomac Falls win over Briar Woods, tying the Virginia career state goal scoring record with 124.
Onyeador can go for the record tonight against Broad Run.
Also, Stone Bridge went up to No. 1 in the Washington Post Top 10 rankings...
