Coaches' Take: Running up the Score
In Sunday’s game between the New England Patriots and the Washington Redskins, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick kept his starters in the game late in the fourth quarter with his team already winning 38-0. Not only that, he threw the ball deep and went for it on three fourth downs, leading to two more touchdowns in the Patriots 52-7 throttling of the Redskins. This is the take from three Loudoun County high school coaches on whether they think the Patriots were wrong to run up the score and the message it might send to their high school players.
