Stone Bridge coach Mickey Thompson said in an email that his son, defensive tackle Zach Thompson, had been offered a scholarship by the University of Virginia, Mickey Thompson's alma mater. On its first drive of the quarter, Stone Bridge moved the ball 78 yards to open the game's scoring. Out here in Charlottesville, the teams are just starting to come out onto the field, with Stone Bridge wearing their blue jerseys and warming up in the end zone to my right and Potomac in the end zone to my left.
